Binyan Adey Ad (Orthodox Jewish Shidduch Organization)

About: A grassroots movement to put the “Shidduch Crisis” on everyone’s radar screen. Most of our Shadchanim were affiliated with the former Invei Hagefen. We understand our older “Singles” and the manifold reasons many are not yet married: Some may have no social connections, some may simply need reassurance and guidance, while the vast majority have just not yet been set up with the right person. Our Shadchanim feel that each individual not yet married is one too many. Our Shadchanim understand the pain and loneliness of the waiting and dating process and strive to ease our Singles through the process without further exacerbating this pain. We meet every applicant personally to better understand who you are and who might be suitable for you. We are available to assist in a myriad of ways (see Services and Resources). We provide personal support and mentoring throughout the dating process, and work with Rabbinic and professional advisors when helpful. We also offer forums for meetings and discussions among Singles of similar interests. For most of our Shadchanim, BINYAN ADEY AD is their full-time job. We have recently convened a Junior Division to assist Singles under age 25 who might benefit from these same services.

STEP 1

Fill out an application and send it to us. Applications are available Online (see Online Applications or Online Applications - Junior Division) or through our office (718-256-7525). A $100 Processing Fee must be enclosed with the application (see Online Payment or Donation). This is a one time fee which is applied towards our office expenses.

Services and Resources

Shidduch Database

Our Database of thousands of applicants is completely confidential and inaccessible to Singles. Aside from our Shadchanim, no one else is able to log on to view our Singles’ profiles.

One-on-One Interviews

Interviews are conducted on Sundays and evenings. Unlike Online dating services, we actually meet every one of our clients in person, before suggesting a Shidduch, ensuring that our Shadchanim gain a better perspective of the individual and his or her needs.

Personal Mentoring Program

A Personal Mentor is available to each Single, 24/7, to provide encouragement, advice or a listening ear. Our mentors are warm and caring individuals with a lot of common sense. Our mentoring program helps the Singles receive the personal attention they need and connects them to families in the community, providing a secure mooring to those who live on their own.

Mentor Training for Shadchanim

Our Shadchanim and Mentors attend special training sessions that provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to positively impact Singles as they offer assistance in navigating the complex dating process.

Education and Guidance for Singles

Our Shadchanim and Mentors work with the Singles on an individual basis – coaching them, building their self esteem, and helping them overcome their anxieties. When necessary, professionals are consulted. We work closely with Rabbonim, social workers, psychologists and family therapists.

Full-Time Shadchanim available day and night

Over a decade of experience has taught us that full-time Shadchanim who have committed their working hours (day and night) to making Shidduchim are more effective than people who suggest Shidduchim when they have some “spare” time. Many of our Shadchanim have given up other full-time employment to join us.
